Steven Kent Origin continued

We believe that only the greatest fruit can be made into the greatest wine and that only the most rigorous planting, pruning, and watering techniques leave any chance for profound fruit. We also believe in then allowing our fruit to guide our winemaking regimen. Depending upon the characteristics of each harvest, we vary the maceration time, the aging time in oak, and the type, origin, and producers of our cooperage. Each decision in the cellar in October is ultimately made months earlier by the grapes growing full and ripe under the Livermore Valley sun.

Since our first vintage in 1996, we have worked with only a small handful of parcels capable of producing the highest quality Cabernet. Our Home Ranch vineyard and new estate site —the Ghielmetti Vineyard —are two of the finest in the Valley. Each produces exquisite Cabernet: the hallmark of Livermore being the great depth and concentration of fruit, complexity of aroma, and the structure to age. Only the best few barrels from a specific clone and vineyard from these sites are showcased in our Premier Cabernet Collection.

In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon, we also offer two wine clubs to choose from: The Future Release Program consisting of Bordeaux-style varietals, and our Collector’s Circle which features Italian and Rhone varietals.

We are honored by your interest in The Steven Kent Winery and thank you for your support.
